Maritime Assistance
We provide specialist marine support services for the offshore oil industry, including pilotage, towage and mooring.
Our fleet of Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels is equipped to handle the most complex operations, such as Oil Recovery Operations (ORO 2), Dynamic Positioning 1 (DPI1), Hose Flushing and Fire Fighting. With a bollard pull ranging from 85 to 120 TBP, our vessels are capable of assisting large vessels, including Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) and Suezmaxes.
Our experienced teams and state-of-the-art equipment ensure safe, efficient operations that comply with the strictest international standards. Whether for towing, platform support or crew management missions, SOCOTRAM has established itself as a trusted partner for the offshore oil industry.
Training and Professional Management of Seafarers
Socotram trains and manages highly qualified crews, in accordance with the strictest international standards.
We provide ongoing training for seafarers, in accordance with STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) conventions and ISM/ISPS (International Safety Management / International Ship and Port Facility Security) standards. Our training programs include regular rotations every 3 to 5 years, ensuring up-to-date skills and optimum safety.
We also manage the crews on board ships operating in Congolese waters, ensuring rigorous monitoring and professional management of human resources. With recognized expertise in training and managing seafarers, Socotram contributes to strengthening the safety and efficiency of maritime operations.
Handling and Transit
Socotram has been heavily involved in the field of handling and transit in close collaboration with Socomab, which specializes in port handling, particularly for wood and various cargoes.
As part of this partnership, Socotram contributed to the modernization of Socomab's equipment, with the acquisition of top-of-the-range handling equipment and the creation of numerous local jobs. Thanks to this collaboration, Socomab has undergone a significant transformation, moving from a difficult situation to a successful and profitable company.
At the same time, SOCOTRAM has strengthened its transit activities through CEMAC approvals, thereby optimizing port operations and facilitating the management of goods. This strategic partnership allows Socotram to play a key role in the development of logistics infrastructure and in supporting Congo's international trade.
